The ordeal started early Wednesday when the victim left the Station House Bar on Massillon Road and went back to her home with three people she just met.
After two of them left the victim and her attacker were left alone.
"When she told him it was time to go, he decided differently and supposedly pulled out a knife and cut her on the chin and tried to sexually assault her at that point," Lieutenant Sylvia Trundle with Akron Police says.

The victim described her wounds to the dispatcher:
"Are you sitting down?" asked the dispatcher.

"He hit me a lot."
Police say the victim did not know the name of the man that attacked her so they came back here to the Station House Bar with the victim's picture. A worker remembered her leaving with two other people and a third man she said was Denny Ross.
With the help of Springfield Township police Ross was arrested Thursday night.
Larry Whitney is Ross's attorney.
"I met with him this afternoon, talked with him over at the jail and he denies the allegations that this woman has made," Whitney says.
Beyond that, Whitney says he will not comment.
"We're all just trying to figure out what's going on," he says.
And while they do that their client, 25 year old Denny Ross will remain locked up in Summit County Jail. He's being held on $50 million bond for kidnapping, felonious assault and rape. He is pictured at right leaving court with his parents on September 10, 2003.
