Fast bowler Mitch Johnson is experiencing the likelihood that the pitches for any coming one day international set against South Africa will be significantly different to those the Proteas relished in recent wins against Australia.
South Africa won your tri series in Zimbabwe with August/September, beating Australia in the closing, when Hashim Amla (51 runs), Faf du Plessis (Ninety six) and AB de Villiers (Fifty-seven not out) made light work of Australia's total with 9 217.
But Johnson declared the fast and bouncy pitch that this five game set will be played on will likely be much different to the slow and low decks encountered in Camera, especially in games at the WACA Soil on Friday and Wednesday.
"I think we're going to see a diverse type of game," Johnson said after Australia's practise time at the WACA Ground on Wed.
"In Zimbabwe, the wickets were quite sluggish and low and I think we're going to experience a different type of game here in Australia, so we're springing up against one of the best sides on the planet and there's a lot of history at this time there and I think it's going to be a great set.
"I saw it [the WACA pitch] the other day and it seemed quite fast and lively and that was with the light red ball, so normally the white-colored ball here can go through pretty quickly and sway nicely, so we're going to notice it carry through quite nicely.
"Obviously, coming back from the [series against Pakistan in the] UAE, a wickets were pretty low in addition to slow there. It's been pretty exciting in the nets; this morning was a bit of an eye garage door opener hardware again just seeing what amount pace and bounce there exists.
"I'm looking forward to getting out there and playing some cricket in Australia.
"I normally find it a little bit difficult, normally coming from the sub continent then we come home and have to play about these faster, bouncier wickets. Obviously you have to adjust your length right here, especially here [Perth], you have to dish fuller than I typically am."
Australian batsman Ken Smith also noticed extra bounce when practising inside the nets on Wednesday.
Cruz was hit on the little finger by a short Johnson delivery, although there is apparently no destruction done and he'll possibly be fine for Friday's first game of your series.
Johnson said that as they was quick to make sure Smith was OK, he felt there was no need to apologise, nor hold back in the nets.
