If we knew the answer to all these questions then we wouldn’t need to go in the Special Select Committee, we went into the committee to find out and that’s what we were doing.”Granger posited that what has happened is that the government’s Chief Whip Gail Teixeira, made a “strategic blunder”, because “three weeks have elapsed and we haven’t received evidence because she brought the committee to the end.” Granger said that the deadline could’ve been met if the committee was kept intact and functioning. “But it was a blunder to terminate the committee and bring the incomplete bill as far as we are concerned back to the National Assembly” said Granger. |
