More than 250 chefs, stars and restaurateurs attended the London Michael Kors Handbag Australia Restaurant Festival awards within the Street in the Tea Making, Shoreditch, last night.
The festival appeared to be the first capital wide special event of food and organisers hoped the event would lure more customers into restaurants amid the hardest trading circumstances in 20 years.
The half dozen day programme began using a Vanity Fair party around Quaglino's last week and involved more than 1,000 restaurants as well as street parties and momentary venues.
