Police are hoping that suspected killer, Shawn Rodney, who is believed to have brutally murdered his wifeDead: Rushelle Rodneyon Tuesday, will turn himself in as they have failed to locate him.It is believed that the man has already fled to neighbouring Suriname. On Tuesday Rodney stabbed his wife, 33 year-old Rushelle Rodney at their Blankenburg, West Coast Demerara home. The lad went against his father’s order after he was instructed not to go home for lunch. The woman’s six-year-old nephew who witnessed the incident related that after the woman’s children left for school, her husband made his way into their house where he attacked his wife. The lad related that the man allegedly slashed his wife’s throat and then proceeded to stab her about the body. This publication was told that the man then contacted his wife’s relatives saying that she had walked out on him and that he was taking her nephew to safety. It was only after the woman’s body was discovered that relatives realized that he had left with the child. The child further related that Rodney took him to a location in Berbice where he joined a boat after placing him in a taxi and instructing the driver where to drop him off.
