The preliminary inquiry into the Kaieteur News killings yesterday continued before Magistrate Nigel Hawke, at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.Yesterday Inspector of Police, Trevor Reid, took the witness box to give his evidence in chief about the 2006 killings.The inspector spoke about his role in the investigation and the subsequent arrest of the defendants.Further examination was done by Police Prosecutor Robert Tyndall. Re-examination was declined by defence counsel Compton Richardson.The matter was subsequently adjourned and is expected to continue on Wednesday.Last week a police corporal gave his evidence in chief about five post mortem examinations which were conducted by Chief Pathologist, Dr. Bridgemohan.The corporal told the court that he was given a detailed report about the cause of death of each of the five pressmen.Cross examination was done by Police Prosecutor, Robert Tyndall. Re-examination was again declined by defence lawyer,Andrew Franks Dolphins Jersey, Compton Richardson. The post mortem reports were then tendered into evidence.On trial for the murders are Dwight Da Silva, Quincy Evans,Wholesale NFL China Jerseys, and “Nasty-man” a juvenile. Jermaine “Skinny” Charles, now deceased, had also been charged for the murders.
