That Committee was specially set up for that purpose so that it doesn’t appear as though I am arbitrarily making a big decision like this…so any decision would be a collective one as to how the necessary actions would be meted out to who might be at fault,” the Chief Medical Officer stressed.He disclosed too that as part of efforts to ensure that the parents are kept informed, the hospital was expected to remain in contact with the parents with a view of providing them with as much information as possible as it relates to the ongoing investigation.But although diligent moves are being made to address the case, a sombre Dr. Persaud intimated that “the whole situation has been very heartbreaking…I must say I am very saddened by the whole occurrence.”
