Thanksgiving starts early in youth center in north east Kansas City

The bus from Plaza Heights Baptist Church made stops at Town Union Mission and Desire Faith Ministries before making its solution to the Milestone Youth Core in the Northeast area, where a large contingency of volunteers and also hot meals awaited.

Over the years, the need to help some others hasn't changed, Bobbitt said.
"They return year after year, and that means needs are being met, people are currently being fed and clothes are being handed out," he said. "And we are fortunate by it."
