It affects the nation."A service took place inside of the school's gymnasium where multiple speakers, including Gov. Rick Snyder and Michigan State Police Director, Col. Kriste Etue, shared Trooper Butterfield's many accomplishments and loves in life."As a State Police of about 3,000 employees, there's not one employee that I know that isn't heartbroken," said Col. Etue.Outside, Trooper Butterfield received military honors, as the MSP helicopter flew overhead, and the country paid it's final respects."We also need to tell our brother Paul, we know our work never ends and we'll take it from here," said Etue.
